Racing Refresh iRacing Season 3 Preview

  





    Coming off a somewhat successful season two in the iRacing 2021 calendar, the Racing Refresh team dives into a very busy season three. After moving up from the rookie series in both paved oval and road, we look to be continuing on up the ladder to eventually make starts in Class A oval and the iRacing IndyCar Series. Class A is run with the current NASCAR Cup Series cars. Over the next twelve weeks in both Road to Indy and Road to Cup, we will be challenged by a different variety of tracks with each week being different from the last.  Below is the twelve-week schedule for both series. You can catch all the virtual racing this week, starting at 9:00 P.M. Est on the Racing Refresh Facebook page. 


    Road to Indy: Indy Lights on Thursday Night

Week 1 (6-17): Tsukuba Circuit - 2000 M 

Week 2 (6-24): Charlotte Motor Speedway - Oval

Week 3 (7-1): New Hampshire Motor Speedway Road Course with South Oval

Week 4 (7-8): Lime Rock Park - Grand Prix layout 

Week 5 (7-15): Oran Park - South Circuit

Week 6 (7-22): New Hampshire Motor Speedway - Oval *Collin's Birthday Shootout*

Week 7 (7-29): Hockenheimring - National B circuit

Week 8 (8-5): Oultan Park - Island Circuit

Week 9 (8-12): Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps

Week 10 (8-19): Red Bull Ring - National Circuit

Week 11 (8-26): Streets of Long Beach

Week 12 (9-2): WeatherTech Raceway at Laguna Seca *Season 3 Finale*


    NASCAR Class C: Trucks on Saturday Night

Week 1 (6-18): Nasville Superspeedway *Special Friday Episode*

Week 2 (6-19): Pocono Raceway

After Season 3 ends after week 12, we will also be running in another iRacing Special Event with the full running of the Southern 500 at Darlington. More information about date and time will come as we get closer to the event.

I have been a true student of motorsports since year 2000 when my uncle moved to Columbus, OH and introduced me to Big and Little E . Prior to my pursuit of racing knowledge, I have distinct memories of watching Dennis Anderson's monstrous Grave Digger, or King Kenny Bernstein's iconic Budweiser livery win countless races. NTT IndyCar Series Race Preview: Detroit Grand Prix Doubleheader

             After coming off an historic Indianapolis 500 where Heilo Castroneves won for a record tying fourth time, the stars of the NTT IndyCar Series heads to the Motor City for the Chevrolet Grand Prix - Duel in Detroit this weekend. After a double points event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Alex Palou enjoys a 36 point lead over Scott Dixon in the championship standings.     Event History : IndyCar has come to the temporary street circuit ever since 1992 back before the CART/IndyCar merger in the 2000s. The first race was won by Bobby Rahal in his lighting fast Lola T9200. CART continued to go to Detroit until 2001. In 2007, the Indy Racing League returned for two years until a three-year hiatus from 2009 until 2011. The series returned in 2012 and the doubleheader format was picked up the following year and has been the race after the 500 ever since.
