Erik Jones to Richard Petty Motorsports in 2021

It will be announced today that Erik Jones and Richard Petty Motorsports have come to terms on a deal that will put the Byron, Michigan driver in the #43 Chevrolet beginning in 2021.

Sources familiar to the dela indicate that specifics on contract lengths and sponsors are not yet announced.

Jones has driven for Toyota for his entire career in NASCAR and will depart Joe Gibbs Racing at the end of the 2020 season. He has 2 wins in 144 career starts in NASCAR'S Cup Series and was the 2015 Nascar Truck Series Champion.

This was the first major publication written by retired auto racer Bill Lester in regards to his racing career. He's won many awards, some great races, and been recognized by his peers in his former field of work in computer engineering as well. When I found out that Bill was sharing a detailed exploration of his story, it was one that I wanted to read. Not as a member of NASCAR's independent media, but as a fan. At 9 years of age I learned about former NASCAR winner Wendell Scott's career. It bothered me to hear the reasons why he was not always embraced. NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Trucks Review: Chevrolet Silverado 250

 It was typical Talladega!  That's the best way to describe this weekends truck race.  The only added pressure the trucks had is that it was a playoff cutoff race.  Ten drivers went into Talladega with a shot to win a championship, but only eight of them left with that same chance.  The action was wild.  The race was awesome.  It was everything a fan should expect when you combine the wild nature of Talladega, and the competitive nature of the NASCAR Truck series. Sheldon Creed led the field to the green flag with Austin Hill right beside him.  Grant Enfinger had trouble early as a tire went down for him on the left rear.  This did not bring out the caution ,though, which put Enfinger multiple laps down as his team fixed the truck.  The first major event of the day happened as a result of those two battling up front with 8 laps to go in the stage.  Hill had a charge to the front and Creed tried to block the #16.  The two made c...
