The Crew: Netflix's new sitcom and what could it mean for the impact of NASCAR?

There is currently only a single season on the streaming site which includes 10 episodes. The premiere season covers different topics within the sport and clever jokes that poke fun at different characters, most prominently lead characters Jake, Kevin and Amir. The show includes cameos from current NASCAR stars Ryan Blaney, Austin Dillon and sophomore Cole Custer. Plenty of pleasant banter between drivers and team members. Fox Sports names Jamie Little play-by-play announcer for 2021 ARCA Menards Series

And in 2021, it’s the ARCA Menards Series play-by-play role, as FOX NASCAR’s Jamie Little makes broadcasting history by becoming the first woman named as the television voice of a national motorsports series. FOX Sports today announces Little will handle play-by-play duties for the series beginning with the season-opener from Daytona in February. Little, entering her 20th year of broadcasting in 2021, teams with analyst Phil Parsons and reporter Kate Osborne for FOX Sports’ slate of ARCA Menards Series races on FS1. Her FOX NASCAR pit reporting duties, held since 2015, also will continue in 2021. This move furthers a string of broadcasting “firsts” Little has accomplished. NHRA and Fox Extend Television Rights Agreement

  After two decades of coverage on ESPN, the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) announced that they would move to competitor FOX for their nationally televised events in 2015. At the time, the president of NHRA referred to the move as a 'Game Changer '.Today they announced a several year extension for broadcasting rights said per Sports Business Journal's Adam Stern to last through the middle of the decade. The next event on the NHRA Fox Schedule will be in Gainesville for the Gatornationals. (September 25th through 27th)
